He found it interesting the wolf could climb a tree but instead he lowered himself into a nearby bush, disappearing into it completely. No movements were made from it and he waited patiently watching for the deer. He was ready whenever they decided to come by.

Sarabi got into a nice position in the tree, although it was a small tree and close to the ground it was easy to climb. She waited for awhile and soon heard a small nose not to far away, she wondered if it was Kokuyo would made the sound but then she took in some different scents. She let her eyes adjust into the darkness and saw several figures moving around. She quietly moved up the tree and waited see which one she should go for, and then looked down to him to see if he saw the deer in the distance also.

Kokuyo had spotted them already sneaking out very quietly. He was very silent in his crawl waiting till they got closer before lunging out and running for one, jumping and aiming for the rump to sink his claws and teeth into.

Sarabi moved a bit closer and then got ready to make an attack. As one came close to her she got her legs ready to jump as she did she his the deer and her weight on impacted made the deer fall to the ground. She quickly went for the throat and started to sufficate it slowly.

Kokuyo had planted himself onto the deers hind and clawed his was up. He was now hanging from the throat by his teeth, tearing back at it, jerking every now in then in attempts to pull it down. He dropped soon chasing after it again and biting one of the legs in attempt to pull it down again.

As Sarabi held onto the deer, her side soon began to hurt badly and soon began to hurt all over. When the deer stopped moving she slowly let go of its neck and laid down on the ground giving slight whimmpers in pain. She turned to her side and saw a big wound bleeding by her ribs. When she went to pounce on the deer, it turned out it was buck and its horns went into Sarabi's side. She laid there for awhile on the ground and looked for where Kokuyo might be.

Kokuyo had killed his dragging it over to her by the leg. "You dont look so great." She set the deer down next to hers and padded over to her noticing the wound. "hm." He sniffed it for a moment before licking it. Besides enjoying the taste of blood he was hoping to make it better by licking it since he assumed she couldn't reach it with her own tongue. "The deer hit you?"

Sarabi laid her head down on the ground and breathed slowly through her nose, she knew her wound wound heal quickly and she was just waiting for it do its job. As she saw him coming she lifted her head again and watched him, then back to her side. She nodded slowly as he spoke, and when he leaned down and licked it she gave a small growl to him. The growl was more in slight pain than really a warning to him, but she didnt care right now she wanted it to hurry and heal. Sarabi laid her head back down and spoke "yes....its horns." she said breathing slowly and then felt the pain from her wound on the inside slowly not hurt anymore. It was slowly healing and she sighed in relief.

He licked it a few more times and stopped tearing at the deer and pulling a slab of meat over to her. "Maybe if you eat you will feel better" He nuzzled her and nudged the meat closer towards her. He then kept guard of the dead deer making sure nothing else touched them.

As she felt no more pain Sarabi slowly started to move around more. She leaned up and got to her feet, and looked at her wound. There wasnt anymore pain but the wound was still there. She sighed to it but tried to get her mind on something else like their kill. She turned to Kokuyo and walked closer to him, she slowly took the meat from him and started to eat slowly. When she finished that piece she moved to the whole deer and started to eat that, but she turned to him and gazed "You may eat also.. if you wish to." she said softly and then continued to eat.

He stood making sure she was alright before going to his deer and starting to tear at it none too lightly. He ate with large bites, eating as if he had been starving, but no one would of been able to tell just by the way he acted. He was patient before touching the food. But once he was into it, he would fight to keep it under his claim.

She ate quickly and yet slowly enough to be able to taste each bite of the tasty flesh. It didnt take her long to finish and as she did she slowly leaned up and licked her lips slowly getting each and every drop of blood or meat anywhere. Sarabi turned to him and watched as he ate his deer, but then slowly moved away from hers and laid down once again by a dead tree. She looked at her wound and it was disappearing slowly, she sighed to it and then laid her head down on her paws relaxing.

"If you have that capability then your hind has healed as well." He sat up with a clean mouth. His dear had been eaten. He walked over for her and sat near her watching her. He let out a small yawn. It had been a long day. He had been awake all the day and most of the night. Of course he wanted some sleep even if it wasnt much. "You are feeling better?"

Sarabi leaned back up and looked back to her leg and back to him "It has healed...but there will still always be a scar." she stated and then curled up in ball with her tail wrapped around her. It was turning into a cold night, but it didnt really bother her much. She was used to it by now always sleeping alone in a den or just under bushes. She gave a slowly deep breath and then let it out slowly again and answered "Iam...I dont have any more pain.." she stopped and looked at it slowly again and continued "it will be healed by the morning probably." she said giving a slight yawn after he did, then slowly closed her eyes.

He didnt move from his spot. He remained seated next to her keeping the lookout while she slept. He was determined it was the proper thing to do. She was like him and injured as well. He rose to his feet and started to pace back and forth in order to stay awake. There were many things running through his head, conflicting with him. He was what he was and he had gotten the kill on the deer but he found it strange to find another like him. He had noticed one thing different between them though. She was mostly sad and he, his happiness lingered in his kills. He was happy as long as he was killing, he had attempted to perfect his way of hunting just for the sake of the thrill. Of course he had a way to go to reach perfection, but in his eyes...he would make it.
